A Few Good Eggs. . .

Here are a couple quick Easter cards I've thrown together, using basically the same items to make 2 different cards.

Stamp Set : A Good Egg

Cardstock & Paper: Barely Banana, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP, White

Ink: Black, Pumpkin Pie Marker

Punches & Accessories: Wide Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon.

The cards are pretty simple, and self-explanatory. I paper pieced the egg on the chicky, and cut out an extra one to use for the discarded shell. The card with 3 eggs, are just punched out with the wide oval punch.

I got an inspiration, and thought I would try this sketch one more time.

Its been too long since I have made a post!! I have to get back in the habit of this =)

Here is my contribution for the MojoMonday 124. I used an image that I found in my stash, unfortunately I have no idea where it is from, but she is darling, isn't she!? Please if you know leave me a comment, I would love to own this stamp!

The word stamp came from the new SU hostess set, Picture this. I used the modern label, 1" circle, 1 3/8" circle & 1 1/2" circle punches for the medallion. Also added some Rich Razzleberry polka dot ribbon for embellishment. Colors are Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Rich Razzleberry & Melon Mambo.

I used SU's Totally Tool on this one, and the Happy Birthday comes from the bottom part of a verse stamp in SU's God's Blessings. I punched it out with the Modern Label punch. The colors are Night of Navy and Bordering Blue. The DSP is from the current patterns pack. My favortie part is the brads that look like screws :) A perfect addition to this "Manly" card!

This one is a sympathy card, using up some old DSP again. The colors are Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, and Baja Breeze. I used the SU set Thoughts & Prayers, stamped the tree in Close to Cocoa, the verse in Chocolate Chip, then sponged the background a wee bit with Baja Breeze. I corner punched using the scallop border punch.

The 4 cards I am posting today, I whipped up 8 of each yesterday. . . I was busy :) I am very last minute this year, but have all along planned to make gifts sets for all the ladies in my family.

First 2 are baby themed cards, one for a boy & one for a girl. I actually copied this idea from myself, from several months ago, just changed around the colors a bit. Both cards I was trying to use up some left over retired designer papers. The boy card colors are Chocolate Chip, Barely Banana, and Baja Breeze. The girl card Close to Cocoa, Pink Pirouette, and Riding Hood Red. I used the retired By Ones & By Twos stamp set for both.

Old Olive Sparkles & Golden Dasher

Wow! I've been neglecting my blog! So busy with getting ready for the Holidays! I've even simplified my Christmas cards this year, AND shortened the list of recipients! Since I've not participated in any challenges recently, I am going to share with you my 2 simple Christmas card designs that I am sending to friends & family.

The first card I started out by wanting to use up some retired SU Old Olive & Very Vanilla DSP, I loved these designs, and have been saving them for some time, waiting for the right occasion. And since I had a surplus of this thick striped ribbon, I thought it was a perfect time to incorporate the DSP. I used the current SU set Snow Swirled for the tree, stamped it in Old Olive onto Very Vanilla Cardstock, and glittered the swirly's with the Olive glitter from the Fine Supernova glitter pack. The sentiment is from SU retired Best Yet.

The second card I used Soft Suede & Real Red as my main colors. I embossed Dasher in gold, and inter-layered 2 scallop medallions. I don't recall seeing them interlocked before, I was sort of playing around with them, and that is what happened. I like it :) The DSP is the current SU Cocoa Specialty paper. The very merry is from SU's Short & Sweet. I used the scallop border punch, large oval, modern label & word window punches on this card.

I made this card for the Mojo Monday 111 Sketch Challenge. I used Forest Friends, Holiday Best & Bright Blessings Wheel for my stamped images. I used all current In Colors on this card - Soft Suede, Rich Razzleberry, Dusty Durango, and Crushed Curry. For the main image I stamped the tree using markers, so I could incorporate all the different colors into the leaves. I also sponged the image at the end with Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry & Dusty Durango. I used the jumbo wheel for the leaves below the Give Thanks, I just cut them out, and attached them behind. I also added brads & Rich Razzleberry polka dot ribbon for embellishment. Thanks so much for looking!

Christmas Joy Mojo Monday 109

Well this is the first time I am participating in a sketch challenge, I love the idea though, so going to try and keep up & do it every week :)

I used 2 current Stampin Up sets for this - Spotlight on Christmas & Season of Joy. The colors I used are Old Olive, Ruby Red & Very Vanilla. I stamped the tree in Old Olive, and the joy in Ruby Red. I also stamped some swirly's in the background in Ruby Red. I used the olive & vanilla striped grosgrain ribbon for embellishment, and I dangled the joy punch with some twine.

Another Snow Buddy

Since I already had this set out. . . I decided to do another - I really love these Snow Buddies! And the large snowflake in the set, with the little hearts around it. . . so cute! Anyway, this is a nice and simple card, trying to change up the colors a bit. Started with Bashful Blue, stamped the snowflakes in Elegant Eggplant onto it. Then a strip of Perfect Plum, with a little piece of Elegant Eggplant grosgrain ribbon tied to it. The snowman is ticket corner punched and layered onto Elegant Eggplant, and attached with dimensionals. I used the Sparkly & Bright word from that set, just colored the bottom part of the stamp with Elegant Eggplant marker, punched it with the Modern Label punch, and layered an Elegant Eggplant Modern Label behind it.

Mambo Snowmen

Breakin in the new Hostess L2 Snow Buddies this morning :) My color combo is Melon Mambo, Black & White - simple, but I love the way it turned out. I added some black & white gingham ribbon for embellishment. I used the layered top notes, and cut them at about 3 1/4". The punch combo at the bottom is Designer Label, 1" Circle & Small Oval punch. I used the very merry stamp from the SU set Short & Sweet. Thanks so much for looking!

Fall Tree of Friendship

I made this card for a swap and to complete at a workshop. Used 4 of the new SU in colors - Rich Razzleberry, Dusty Durange, Crushed Curry and Soft Suede. I used the markers to stamp the leaves, and sponged Dusty Durango & Crushed curry over the top. Also added some Dusty Durango Polka Dot Ribbon as embellishment. The card itslef measures 4 x 4, then with the top not attached it is a full size card. Thanks so much for looking!

I took this layout from a card I received back in a swap on SCS - it wasn't signed, so I'm not sure who the credit goes to :( I used the new SU poinsettia embossing folder for the top Real Red piece of cardstock. I punched a wide oval out, stamped a gift for you merry christmas stamp from Christmas Punch stamp set in real red, and punched it out with the scallop oval punch. I used silver elastic cord to dangle the scallop oval punch behind the poinsettia piece. There is a small strip of cardstock between that piece and the taken with teal piece, with dimesionals on either side. I tied the cord to the 1/2 inch strip. At the bottom of the poinsettia piece I layered 2 dimensionals, so it is more "poppy" and there is a little dangle room for the punched piece. Also accented with some white grosgrain ribbon. This one I used the skaters from Winter Post as my main image, made the frame using the scallop border punch, backed it with Ruby Red cardstock, and then Garden Green. I also stamped the Garden Green with the large snowflake from Winter Post using Chocolate Chip ink. Chocolate Ribbon as my embellishment. Merry Christmas is from All Holidays, stamped in Chocolate Chip on Kraft, punched out with the Scallop Oval Punch. All mounted on Kraft.

I made these two cards for a pumpkin swap I am in on SCS. The first card I used retired SU set Happy Fall Y'all - one of my all time favorites, don't use it all that much first because it is seasonal, and second because it involves coloring, lots of coloring. . . My cardstock colors are Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust, Ruby Red & Very Vanilla. I used my scallop border punch to punch the outside corners, also my top note die for the main image, and Ruby Red backdrop. I added some raffia for embellishment.

Second card I used 2 current SU sets, Autumn Harvest & Eat, Drink & Be Scary. I made my pumpkin with wide oval punches, and the modern label punch, the middle oval, I stamped with the pumpkin face from Autumn harvest. The black oval back is the insert from the scallop oval frame die. The curly label punch is from Eat, Drink & Be Scary. I added some wide gingham, orange & white ribbon for embellishment.

Christmas! I've been making Christmas cards like mad lately! Here are 4 I did this last week.

First card I made using the Stampin Up stamp sets Season of Friendship, and Winter Post.

Cardstock colors - Not Quite Navy, Chocolate Chip, Real Red & White.

Ink colors - Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, and Not Quite Navy

Accessories - Big Shot, Top Note Die, Designer label Punch, 3/4" Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon, Real Red, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

For the top layer of the Top Note, I cut a sheet of white and Real Red cardstock at 2 3/4 inches by 5 inches, and on the white, stamped my images toward the edge - Deer from Winter Post in Chocolate Chip, Tree from Season of Friendship in Close to Cocoa, snowflakes from Season of Friendship in Not Quite Navy, stamped off twice for each snowflake. Then ran it and the same size Real Red through the Big Shot, and trimmed the perforated edge off of the white. Lastly I lightly sponged the entire stamped piece, and added some dazzling diamonds at the bottom for my "snow". I put the ribbon on under the Real Red layer of the Top Note and wrapped it around the Chocolate Chip layer of cardstock. I attached the designer label punch with dimensionals.

Second card I used the Level 2 Hostess stamp set Christmas Punch.

Cardstock colors - Mellow Moss, Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red, also the Level 1 Hostess Patterns Pack, Mellow Moss & Ruby Red patterns

Ink - Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red

Accessories - 1 3/8" Square Punch, Curly Label Punch

Third card I used stamp set Snow Swirled

Cardstock colors - Pretty in Pink, Old Olive, White

Ink Colors - Old Olive

Accessories - Dazzling Diamonds, Wide Oval Punch, Eyelet Border Punch

After stamping Season's Greetings, and punching it out with the Wide Oval Punch, I ran the edge evenly over my Old Olive Ink Pad, to give it a little dimension, I also attached the punch with dimensionals.

Fourth card I used Season of Joy stamp set.

Cardstock colors - Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Thoroughly Modern Designer Series Paper, Bermuda Bay pattern

Ink Colors, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Bermuda Bay.

Accessories - Scallop Border Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, paper snips, dimensionals

I stamped the main image in Rich Razzleberry, I also stamped on a separate piece of white cardstock in Bermuda Bay, then using the 3/4 inch circle punch, I punched out the snowflake "o" in joy, and then attached that to the main image using dimensionals. In Old Olive ink I stamped the tree in the bottom right corner, I also stamped it in Old Olive on a separate sheet of white cardstock, and cut out the center image of the tree, and attached it with dimensionals also.

I made this one using Stampin Up set Eat, Drink & Be Scary. My favorite part is the definition of Halloween, honestly I don't think I ever actually read it until yesterday when I decided to use it! And I've had this stamp set since last year! Anyway. . . Black cardstock is my base, the top portion is Green Galore, bottom is Lovely Lilac. I stamped the witches hat on Pumpkin Pie, then stamped another, cut it out, and attached it on top of the first one with dimensionals. I also added a little black brad in the bottom right corner for embellishment. I sponged each colored piece with a little black ink - thought it made it look a little more Halloween-ish :)

3 cards I made for a Mega swap

Here are 3 cards I just finished up that I did for a Mega swap I signed up for on SCS. I made 40 of each of these. The little caterpillar at the bottom just about did me in! Note to self - Next time you sign up for a mega swap, DO NOT make a design that involves coloring!

First card is using SU new Level 3 Hostess set The More the Merrier. I did a Valentine's Day themed card - not exactly in season, but seemed like a good idea at the time :) The base of this card is Real Red. I stamped the background with the 3 heart stamp from Love You So Much SU Stamp Set, in Real Red Ink. The birds are stamped in black and colored in with my SU Markers. The corners are punched with the Ticket Corner Punch. That piece is attached to Pink Passion, and embellished with Red & Pink ribbon, and adhered to the Real Red with dimensionals.

Second card I used the new SU set Pendant Park. This is one of my favorite new stamp sets. I layered Riding Hood Red, Not Quite Navy, Garden Green, and Kraft - which is stamped with the bush in Garden Green. The "HELLO" is made with Large Oval punch in Riding Hood Red, Word Window punch in Garden Green, and Small Oval Punch in kraft, stamped in Riding Hood Red. Embellished the card with some raffia.

Third card although the most tedious, was my favorite of the three. I used the new SU level 1 hostess set Love Bugs. The base for this card is Pacific Point. This one is accented with Pink Passion, Green Galore, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, and Lavender Lace, however for the 40 I interchanged them with various Bold Brights colors. It was a great way to use up some scraps. The caterpillar is stamped on white in black ink, and colored in with my SU markers. It is layered on a piece of Basic Black cardstock, the tiny hearts are punch outs using the SU 3 heart punch. The card is also accented with some black and white gingham ribbon.

I made this card using the new SU! level 2 hostess set, Christmas Punch. I used the stamp that goes with the wide oval punch, I think it is the most elegant in that set. Also used the snowflakes to stamp my background. I stamped them onto a plain white piece using Baja Breeze ink. Then I inked the entire sheet with Versa Mark, and sprinkled my own homemade mix of white embossing powder and dazzling diamonds on top, and then embossed it with the heat gun. Its hard to see the result in the photo, but it is really very pretty. Then I punched the bottom with my EK success snowflake border punch. I also used my Martha Stewart snowflake punch for the additional snowflakes. I punched them in Baja Breeze, then glittered them with dazzling diamonds.

Turkey Day Riley

I just can't get enough of this little guy! He is so stinkin cute, however he is dressed :)

This is just a really simple card, with a Very Vanilla base. I added some Autumn Traditions DSP, and some retired felt Chocolate Chip Ribbon, also a little piece of More Mustard as Riley's background.

Used the Give Thanks stamp from the new Level 1 Hostess set.

Brentwood Christmas Carolers

I put together this Brentwood Christmas card using Jessica's very first sketch challenge at jessicalynnoriginal.blogspot.com - it is a simple sketch, which I like :) My base color is SU's Real Red, followed by a strip of patterned designer paper in Garden Green. The carolers are colored with my SU Markers, and are backed with a piece of Old Olive cardstock.

Yummy Spaghetti & Summer Strawberries!

I made these both for Neeru's whats in a name swap, we were supposed to do something with the first letter of our name, that also describes us. . . as you can see I like food. . .

For the Spaghetti card, I used Dusty Durango as the base, I decided Dusty Durango makes good spaghetti! I added some Kiwi Kiss DSP from the Rockabilly series, I paper pieced the chef's cuff & scarf. I also had the most adorable & perfect little tiny button looking brads, so I added them as my embellishment. I used my scallop edge bunch for the corners of the chef, also the scallop oval & large oval for the "yummy" which I used from last year's A little something sale-a-bration set.

For the Strawberries, I used Tart and Tangy, and my markers to stamp. The colors are white, Bermuda bay & Real Red. Simple layout but I think it works - LOVE STRAWBERRIES! :) Also added some red & white gingham ribbon. And the verse is from Curvy Verses.

Camping in the Forest

Here is my second card for the Forest Ranger's swap. I chose my colors based on this really earthy gingham ribbon, I got as a gift in the swap that I hosted.

I used the Happy Camper stamp set again, stamped the trees on Kraft Cardstock, in Garden Green. The sleeping bag is also stamped on Garden Green, the Boot is stamped in Chocolate Chip, and the lantern is stamped in Not Quite Navy, they are all cut out and attached with dimensionals. The sleeping bag is wrapped with twine. The thinking of you stamp is from the set Trendy Trees, it is punched out with the Word Window Punch, and layered on a Modern Label.

The Cardstock colors are Mellow Moss, Garden Green, Not Quite Navy, and Kraft.

Bear Roasting a Hot Dog. . .

So I made this card for the Forest Ranger's Forest swap on SCS. I love this wheel & stamp set, it has been retired for a couple of years now. Happy Camper is the name of the stamp set, and Nature Hike is the wheel. I used Very Vanilla as my base, wheeled the bottom, colored with my SU markers, and also my Stampin Pastels for the signs, I didn't want those colors to be as vibrant. The top panel is Old Olive cardstock layered behind the image which is stamped on very vanilla cardstock, in Chocolate Chip ink. I colored the flames with my Pastels, and added some Chocolate Chip Glitter from the Fine Supernova glitter pack for the dirt.

Riley on a Tricycle

I am very pleased with the way this turned out. I used Riley riding his tricycle for my main image, colored him in with my SU markers. He is mounted on Creamy Caramel. There is a little strip of Night of navy DSP behind that, followed by Real Red Cardstock, followed by Bordering Blue Cardstock. I added some thick red & white gingham ribbon for embellishment, and the wish big stamp is from SU's Short & Sweet, punched out of Bordering Blue with the word window punch, mounted on a Modern label punched out of Night of Navy.

Thinking of you Butterflies

This one is a nice and simple card, I love these colors together. Black, Sahara Sand & White, I think they look classy. I used my Beautiful Butterflies Big Shot Die to create the butterflies, using black cardstock for the larger one, and Sahara Sand DSP for the smaller one. Added a little ribbon, and the Thinking of You stamp comes from SU Sincere Salutations.

Sweet Bella Baby Buggy

I made this card using SCS Sketch Challenge 240. I love when I have a sketch to follow, seems like everything just comes together so smoothly! Used Black, White & Pink Pirouette as my colors. Also added a little bit of Bella Rose DSP, and some black & White gingham ribbon. The large scallop was punched using my Marvy Giga Punch. The stamp comes from retired SU set Oh My Word.

Rock Star Anya

I just threw this together quick tonight for my niece Ashley's birthday party tomorrow. Ashley is a fiery Redhead, so I made this Rock Star Anya a fiery Redhead.

Super simple card, just some coloring with my SU markers, and a few layers. The tag is Scallop Oval, Large Oval, Word Window, and Small Oval . . . I have been liking this combo lately!

I was particularly fond of these colors, they just sort of happened, but I will definitely be using this combo again in the very near future. Dusty Durango, Elegant Eggplant, and Taken with Teal.

Sponging with Pendant Park

Well, I didn't think I was a "sponger" if that is a word, but this is the second card I've done using this technique, and I think I am pretty good at it, if I do say so myself. . .

So, I am actually using this card for 2 swaps I am signed up for on SCS, one using sponging, and another using new SU stamp sets.

For the sponging, it goes like this Ruby Red, Really Rust, Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard, and Summer Sun. I just started at the top, and lightly sponged, and kept adding rows with each color blending into the last.

All the stamps are from the new SU set Pendant Park. I stamped the bush in Garden Green on top if it all, and the bench in chocolate chip. The back layer of cardstock is Garden Green. The Hello is stamped in Really Rust, punched out small oval, then layered on a Word Window in Ruby Red, which is layered on a Large Oval in Pumpkin Pie, which is layered on a Scallop Oval in Garden Green. Also added a Fire Rhinestone Brad for embellishment.

Trying to do another Christmas card with non-traditional colors, and use up some of the old In Colors in the process.

I used the SU Stamp Set Season of Joy for the Christmas Tree, and Short & Sweet for the sentiment. Started with Tangerine Tango, then Kiwi Kiss, then some more Tangerine Tango, and stamped the tree in Kiwi Kiss ink onto Very Vanilla, I punched the corners using the Eyelet Border Punch. The Bashful Blue DSP I used is from the retired Sale-A-Bration set.

I added some retired Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla satin ribbon as an embellishment. The Very Merry is also stamped in Kiwi Kiss, punched out with the small oval punch, and layered onto a Modern Label punch in Tangerine Tango.

I made this card using the new Hostess L3 The More the Merrier. And I used Sketch Challenge 231, from SCS for my layout.

Starts with Dusty Durango, then Old Olive, then I made 3 panels with To the Nines Specialty DSP. Then layered a Scallop Circle punched in Dusty Durango (also dotted the scallops with my Chocolate Chip marker), with an 1 3/8" circle punched in Very Vanilla, stamped with the Give Thanks Stamp. I colored the top of the Acorn with Close to Cocoa, and filled in the bottom with the rust glitter from the Fine Supernova Glitter Pack. I also added some Dusty Durango Grosgrain Polka Dot Ribbon.

Here is a card using one of my favorite color combos, Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red & Kraft.

For the frame, started out with a 3 by 3 piece of Kraft Cardstock, then with my Scallop Border Punch, I made a frame. Just punching each side, eyeballing for the center. I love using this technique, it is very simple but adds a lot. I layered that with dimensionals on top of Chocolate Chip, which is mounted onto Ruby Red. I used the new 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Chocolate Chip ribbon as well, thread it thru the frame, and 2 extra layers of cardstock. The stamp is from the new Level 1 Hostess set Out of the Box, I stamped that on the Kraft with Chocolate Chip. I made the button with my Buttons #5 Sizzix Die and the Big Shot, and attached it with a dimensional as well.

For the ovals at the bottom, I used my new Level 2 Christmas Punch set, I didn't want this to be a Christmas card however, I like the frame around the scallop oval stamp, so I stamped that onto Kraft in Chocolate Chip, punched it out with my Scallop Oval punch, punched a Large Oval in Ruby Red, and stamped Wish Big from Short & Sweet in Ruby Red onto Kraft, and punched that out with the Small Oval Punch. I layered the Small & Large oval, and attached the two to the Scallop Oval with a dimensional.

Trying to crank out some non-traditional Christmas colors with this one. I broke in the new Level 3 Hostess set, The More the Merrier. Started with a white base, next comes Lavender Lace, the Almost Amethyst, which I stamped with the little snowflake from Short & Sweet in Almost Amethyst, then Pretty in Pink to back the snowmen. I colored them with my SU markers, and glitter the snow on the ground with dazzling diamonds. I affixed the snowmen & the snowflake, which I punched out with my Martha Stewart snowflake punch, with dimensionals. I also covered the snowflake with glitter.

I printed off a whole bunch of sketch challenges yesterday from Splitcoast, in an effort to give myself a little inspiration, and I have to say it was much easier for me to create this when I had a layout set up right in front of me :) I love when I have a good idea!

So this card is for a swap on SCS using only new In Colors, and I used SC01. I used one of my favorite stamp sets Pocket Silhouettes. Stamped the middle one in Dusty Durango, and the 2 outside ones in Soft Suede, punched them out with the Large Oval Punch, and backed them with a Scallop Oval Punch in Soft Suede. Behind that is a strip of Bermuda Bay DSP, and behind that is Bermuda Bay Cardstock, punched with the Eyelet Border Punch on the top and the bottom. That is backed with Dusty Durango, which is backed with Soft Suede. And I added 2 Antique Brads to finish it off. A pretty simple layout really, but I thought these colors came together really great.

Well, first of all I will apologize for the quality of my picture. I cannot find the charger for my camera anywhere, so this is day 2 of taking pictures with my phone and emailing them to myself! But it gives a bit of a blue and slightly blurry quality.

Anyway. . . I made this card for a demo only swap, and it is usually a challange for me to use only current sets & materials. . . I am starting to understand why some demos just clean everything out when sets retire.

This card started with the Designer Paper, I used the new DSP Tall Tales. I took the flower patterned paper, and built my cardstock and stamp colors around it. I started with Brilliant Blue, then Old Olive, then Rose Red, and topped it with the DSP. The Rose Red & DSP are punched with the Scallop Border Punch, and I accented the Rose Red with faux stitching with my Chocolate Chip Marker. The elephants are stamped from the new Level 1 Hostess set, Out of the Box, in Rose Red, Brilliant Blue (stamped off once), and Old Olive. I then punched these out with the 1 1/4 inch circle punch, and layered them with punches from the same color cardstock in the 1 3/8 inch circle punch. Wish Big is stamped from Short & Sweet, and punched out with the small oval punch, layered on top of a Chocolate Chip punch with the Modern Label, added some antique brads, as well as Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon.

And lastly for today, this one was for a Hanna card swap on SCS. Layered Rich Razzleberry, with Cottage Wall DSP. Colored her with my SU markers. Made a little awning using my SU scallop border punch, glue it down flat on the top and with dimesionals on the bottom, and added some Certainly Celery ribbon for an embellishment.

Here is a card I made for Audrey's Girls, Girls, Girls Swap on SCS. I used some images that DJ sent me of these cute little fairy princess Anya's. I am not exactly sure what the actual stamp is called :(

I layered black cardstock, Pretty in Pink, and Tea Party DSP. cut out the image, and colored her with my SU markers. Also used the Pink glitter from the Fine Supernova Glitter pack for the crown and wand.

I made the wish big tag with the new Modern Label Punch, and also the small oval. And stuck a few pink sticky rhinestones on for a little extra bling :)

Here is my second Beachy card for DJ's swap.

I used my 1 3/8" circle Punch for the bikini top. Started out with the 1 3/4" circle punch, but looked a bit to much like Double DD's :) Thought I should drop it down a size!

Anyway, I jsut freehand cut the Blush Blossom Cardstock for the body, used white grosgrain ribbon for the straps and bow in the front. And added a rhinestone brad for bling.

The sentiment comes from SU retired hostess set Best Yet.

I used Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze & Blush Blossom for my colors, the DSP for the bikini top is retired Sweet Slumber.

Just finished up these for DJ's beach swap on SCS, I've seen several version's of this umbrella out there, I've been wanting to try it out.

I sponged my sky with retired Cool Caribbean Ink, and a punched scallop circle, I ripped several peices of Creamy Caramel CS, and layered them for the sand. Cut out the Sun and the Pail from a retired SU set, of which the name has currently escaped my brain. . .

The umbrella I made, by first punching a Scallop circle using my Marvy Mega Scallop Punch, then I punched into it with my SU 1 3/4" circle punch, I did it with all three colors (Tangerine Tango, Real Red, Green Galore) then just cut out segments, and glued them to each other.

Oh, I also used my scallop edge punch on the sponged piece of white cs, to make the Pacific Point CS behind look like waves.

Here is the first of many Christmas cards for this year. . .

I used the retired SU stamp set Its Snow Time, as well as the little snowflake from SU set Short & Sweet. I colored using my SU markers, and also my SU White Craft Pad and a blender pen for the snowman & snow. I paper pieced the trees using Garden Green Pattern DSP, I used Always Artichoke, Riding Hood Red & Kraft cardstock. Also broke in my new EK Success Snowflake border punch. A little hard to punch, but I just love how it looks!

Here is my second Brentwood/JLO card using Baby Brentwood stamp. I cut out a little party hat, and balloon to go with my birthday card theme. I used the balloon from Crazy for Cupcakes, and just free-hand cut out the party hat. I used all different papers from the retired Washington Apple for this card, as well as Riding Hood Red, Pumpkin Pie & Bashful Blue cardstock. Also added some rhinestone brads for embellishment.

I really liked the way this card came together, especially since, I had no idea where I was going with it when I started. I usually have some idea where I am going, this card I just did one step at a time, and this was the end result!

So its starts with Riding Hood Red Cardstock, then some Tangerine Tango, then I layered a couple Top Notes, Pacific Point, and I did the quilted squares look for the top layer, using Patterns DSP in Pacific Point, Riding Hood Red, Tangerine Tango & Garden Green. The "howdy" tag was stamped with Riding Hood Red, and I used retired Hostess stamp set A Little Somethin'. I used 2 Modern Label punches in Riding Hood Red, 1 1 3/4" circle punch in Tangerine Tango, 1 1 3/8" circle punch in Pacific Point, and punched the image with the 1 1/4" circle punch. And threw in a couple gold colored brads for embellishments.

Well, I was trying to make a card with a Fancy Fold, not sure how I feel about the outcome really. . . it is a different fold though, so I guess I did accomplish part of my goal.

I used all SU supplies for this one, all retiring In Colors on their way out. I used SU stamp sets Petal Pizzazz and All Holidays. Cardstock Pacific Point and White. Ink - Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, and Pink Pirouette. For the top row of flowers I stamped the first flower in the middle with Pacific Point, then masked the additional flowers, so the middle one looks like it is in the front. I also added some Baja Breeze double striped ribbon to the top. The card itself is the standard size 1/2 sheet of cardstock. I scored it at 4 1/4" and 6 1/4" and then accordian folded it.

I cased this card out of the new Stampin Up catalog. I used all colors and designer paper that is on its way out. Riding Hood Red is my base color. I cut the bird house free hand out of Candy Lany DSP, scalloped 2 strips in Close to Cocoa for the top, and Pink Pirouette for the bottom. I used one of the birds from Cheep Talk, and accented with some Boho Blossom punches.

Well, today I was playing around with some Hanna Stamps I just recently purchased. I am having a little trouble adding extra's to the cards I've made with them. They are so cute all by themselves, I'm just having a hard time throwing in a little embellishment!

The first Hanna is Graduating. I absolutely love this stamp, it is so pretty and femenine. I have been searching for a nice femenine graduation stamp for several years! I just layered Black Cardstock, Red & White. Added a few black brads, and colored her in with my SU Markers

The second Hanna is gardening, I used my SU Blooms & Bulbs wheel to accent the side. I paper pieced her overalls & hankerchief. I used Brocade Blue & Real Red from the Patterns pack. I colored the rest in with markers. I layered Brocade Blue Cardstock, White, Real Red, and Certainly Celery.

I have seen several of these cute little dresses floating around Splitcoast, this is my version.

I used my Marvy Giga Scallop Punch for the dress, punched it out of Bashful Blue DSP, just free-hand cut out the void on either side, and added a little piece of pink grosgrain ribbon for the belt. I used a Top Note for the background, SU Pink Passion for the bottom layer, white for the top, stamped with SU Boho Backgrounds in Pink Passion Ink. For the medallion, I just layered a 5 Petal Flower, punched out of Pink Passion, and 1 1/4 circle stamped in Bashful Blue from the SU Retired set Best Yet. Bashful Blue is the base color.

A very quick card to put together :)

Okay, so this is my first post on my brand spankin shiny new blog :)

I hope this works the way I want it to. . . I am uploading a card I made this morning. I was trying to come up with a patirotic themed card that didn't involve stars, and then I remembered I will be needing a birthday card for the 4th of July anyway, so why not do a patriotic birthday card?? So here it is!

All my materials for this card are Stampin Up. I used the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set. Stamped the main image, colored with Tempting Turquoise & Real Red Markers, and then "iced" my cupcakes with the turquoise glitter from the Fine Supernova Glitter pack. For the background tiers, first I made a mask of the stamp, placed it on top of my main image, then stamped off once, and stamped the first background tier, then again for the 2nd tier. I lightly colored these using my Stampin Pastels. I corner punched with my scallop border punch, also used it for the Tempting Turquoise, and Real Red DSP. I adhered my "awning" by putting some mono adhesive on the top, and dimensionals on the bottom.
